Overview

Full-stack owner, with a frontend and UX emphasis, of a containerised, PCI-delegated portal where business customers pay invoices by card via Stripe Checkout, with confirmation receipts emailed to the customer and finance team.

Challenge

  1. Let business customers pay invoices by card without the app handling card data directly.
  2. Validate input strictly and give clear, animated feedback through the payment flow.
  3. Run reliably across environments with runtime configuration.

Approach

  1. Built the payment form with client-side validation, animated progress and success states, and brand theming.
  2. Handled Stripe customer and checkout edge cases and rebuilt the email-receipt templates with structured logging.
  3. Containerised the app with runtime environment injection and multi-environment configuration.

Outcomes

  1. Shipped a polished, PCI-delegated payment experience.
  2. Added structured logging for observability.
  3. Made deployment repeatable with runtime config injection.

Curious about the longer version, or the parts that didn't make the page? I'd be happy to talk it through. Get in touch
